A Blank Rome team represented Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corporation (NYSE: WAB), commonly known as Wabtec, a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for the freight and transit rail industries, as well as the mining, marine, and industrial markets, in connection with the disposition by its subsidiary, MotivePower LLC, of the business and assets of Swiger Coil Systems, a business that is involved in manufacturing of wide range of electric coils for electric motors, generators, and alternators, as well as contract manufacturing and remanufacturing of traction motors, to Integrated Power Services. The carve-out transaction was structured as a sale of assets and closed on April 11.
