Blank Rome is pleased to sponsor this event.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Generative artificial intelligence (“AI”) has capabilities to help lawyers work more efficiently. As with any technology, lawyers must employ generative AI in a way that adheres to their professional responsibility obligations. Moreover, generative AI is drawing the interest of lawmakers and regulators around the world and in the United States. Lawyers need to be able to comprehend and utilize generative AI in their own practices as well as advise their clients on generative AI. This presentation will analyze generative AI from the perspective of lawyer ethics, including examining the ethical considerations of using or advising on generative AI, and recommend best practices for lawyers regarding their duties of confidentiality, disclosure, supervision, client communication, and competence.
