Marion, who co-chairs the Franchise Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, helped plan this live webcast, which is eligible for Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”) credit.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Taking and defending the depositions of corporate designees can be challenging. When taking, strategies can be utilized to engage opposing counsel before the deposition, as required in federal court. This is particularly helpful in depositions with third parties. In defending depositions, the deponent has been educated on how to testify, and that education may be discoverable. So may the method by which documents were assembled in response to the deposition notice. This CLE presentation will prepare business litigators to depose corporate representatives. Panelists address effectively questioning the corporate representative, dealing with difficult representatives, and raising and defending objections.
