Blank Rome associate Matthew J. Treiber has been named the Christopher Slattery Young Professional Award recipient by Access Justice Brooklyn.
Now in its 18th year, the Christopher Slattery Young Professional Award is given to a lawyer who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community service as a pro bono attorney. In honor of Christopher Slattery, the Young Professional Award "seeks to acknowledge the significant contribution of an individual volunteer, and to encourage all new professionals to take an active role in their community."
Matthew has worked with Access Justice Brooklyn to file and eventually obtain an uncontested divorce for a client. He followed up with the client regularly, had great attention to detail, anticipated potential problems with the case, and developed solutions for any issues that arose. Access Justice Brooklyn noted that Matthew stood out as a compassionate and diligent newly admitted pro bono attorney.
Matthew was honored at Access Justice Brooklyn's Volunteer Recognition Event on June 24, 2024.
