The honorees are eager to help others "rise through the ranks" as they generously give their time to mentoring, volunteering, and pro bono opportunities. They continue to bolster "their firms’ revenues and reputations and have overhauled parental leave, caregiver and flexible work policies to attract and retain top talent" following pandemic disruptions.

William J. Dorsey
Partner, Blank Rome
William J. Dorsey is a founding partner of Blank Rome’s Chicago office. He represents banks, private-equity firms and family offices in commercial finance litigation matters, a recent $100 million trust and estate dispute in New York. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has tried more than 60 cases to judgment. In his role at Blank Rome, he helps lead the firm’s banking litigation practice and mentors several associates and junior partners through the firm’s mentorship program. He is an active member of Christ Church Winnetka and writes chapters on commercial banking and real estate for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.
Kenneth J. Ottaviano
Partner, Chair of Chicago office, Blank Rome
Chair of Blank Rome’s Chicago office, Ken Ottaviano manages the office, attorneys and professional staff and is responsible for brand-building and recruitment. He recently helped expand the firm’s footprint and secured clients such as Associated Bank, Monticello Asset Management, Robert Weed Corp. and Heartland Financial. As partner in the Finance, Restructuring and Bankruptcy practice, Ottaviano represents traditional and nontraditional financing sources in insolvency and restructuring matters. He has worked on more than 250 healthcare matters in his career and sits on the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Healthcare Distress Committee. Ottaviano is on the board of his alma mater, Lake Forest College, and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
