Blank Rome Welcomes Insurance Recovery Associate Stephen Wah in New York

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen Wah has joined the firm’s New York office as an associate in the market-leading Insurance Recovery group. Stephen joins Blank Rome from Pasich LLP, and reunites with partner Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Schulman who joined the firm last month.

Stephen counsels and represents policyholders in a wide range of complex insurance coverage disputes. He advises clients on insurance coverage under an array of forms and policies, including commercial crime, cyber, directors & officers, employment practices liability, errors & omissions, event cancellation, fidelity, general liability, products liability, property, and workers’ compensation. His clients work across various industries, including healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, financial services, professional services, and retail.

Stephen has successfully recovered over a hundred million dollars in wrongfully denied insurance proceeds and related damages. He has been consistently recognized as New York Metro “Rising Star” in Insurance Coverage by Super Lawyers since 2021.

Admitted to practice in New York, Stephen received his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, and two B.A. degrees, cum laude and magna cum laude, from SUNY College at Buffalo. While attending law school, Stephen was the editor-in-chief of the Cardozo ADR Competition Honor Society and staff editor of the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender, as well as an intern for the Securities Arbitration Clinic and president of the Minority Law Student Alliance. Currently, Stephen serves as an adjunct professor of law.
