Blank Rome Welcomes Litigation Associate Aubre G. Dean in New York

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Aubre G. Dean has joined the firm’s New York office as an associate in the General Litigation group, which recently welcomed associates Fiona Steele and Heewon Lee. Aubre joins Blank Rome from Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP.

Aubre has experience representing foreign states, state-owned entities, and private parties in federal and state courts across a variety of disputes, including judgment enforcement actions, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secret, and other complex commercial litigation matters. Aubre also has experience advising college and Olympic athletes during internal investigations. Earlier in her career, Aubre focused on Title IX related matters.

In addition to her litigation work, Aubre maintains an active pro bono practice and has submitted several amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court for cases involving LGBTQ+ and veterans’ matters. She previously helped secure the early release of an incarcerated client as a result of federal civil rights litigation.

Admitted to practice in New York and Texas, Aubre received her J.D., cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law and her B.A. from Texas A&M University. During law school, Aubre served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Kiyo Matsumoto of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and was the associate notes editor of the Syracuse Law Review. Aubre was a member of Syracuse Law’s nationally recognized advocacy program, where she placed in the octofinals of the National Moot Court Competition and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. Aubre won multiple intercollegiate competitions during law school and was awarded best advocate when her team won the Syracuse Entertainment and Sports Law Negotiation Competition.
