Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Richard M. Weibley, Of Counsel, and Kevin M. Eddy, Associate, have joined the Firm’s Pittsburgh office in the Commercial Litigation group, further adding to the group’s significant expansion over the last month with the notable additions of Partner Andrew K. Fletcher in the Pittsburgh office and Partner Charles S. Marion and Of Counsel James T. Giles in the Philadelphia office. Mr. Weibley and Mr. Eddy both join the Firm from Pepper Hamilton LLP.

Mr. Weibley focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, representing businesses and business owners in contract and business disputes, intellectual property matters, and corporate governance disputes. As trial counsel, he has tried bench and jury trials in state and federal courts across the country, and has represented clients in domestic and international arbitrations. As appellate counsel, he has represented clients in the Court of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Circuits, as well as in Pennsylvania and California appellate courts. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Mr. Weibley received his J.D., cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law, and his B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College. During law school, he served on the Washington and Lee Law Review.
Mr. Eddy concentrates his practice on commercial litigation and counsels clients in the oil and gas, construction, financial services, commercial real estate, and manufacturing industries. He has litigated a wide range of matters, including commercial disputes, class actions, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, environmental liability, product liability, employment, and insurance coverage disputes. He routinely provides guidance and counseling on risk management, real estate matters, and land use. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, and West Virginia. Mr. Eddy earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and received his B.A. in Political Science and History, with honors, from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
