Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Benjamin M. Wigley has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as an associate in the General Litigation group. Benjamin’s arrival continues the firm’s expansion in California, which has grown to include more than 70 attorneys in the Los Angeles and Orange County offices over the last two years. He joins Blank Rome from Ropers Majeski PC.
Benjamin focuses his practice on a wide range of general litigation matters, including breach of contract, theft of intellectual property and trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duties, partnership disputes, and bankruptcy litigation.
Benjamin has notable experience assisting clients in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings. His capabilities include developing litigation and settlement strategies; drafting discovery and dispositive motions, oppositions, and replies; arguing discovery motions and dispositive motions; drafting complaints and arbitration demands; representing clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board; handling all aspects of discovery requests; and representing municipality creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings, including opposition to Trustee’s objections to proofs of claim.
Admitted to practice in California, Benjamin received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A., with distinction, from the University of California at Berkeley. During law school, Benjamin served as a managing editor of the Cornell International Law Journal and president of the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law.
