Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Kaitlyn M. West has joined the firm’s New York office in the nationally recognized Real Estate group, which has continued its strategic expansion with the recent addition of leading partners Christy L. Reuter, and Sonia Kaur Bain as well as of counsel Kerri L. Alessi and associates Matthew J. Crawford and Christina M. Preminger. Kaitlyn joins from Cassin & Cassin LLP.
At Blank Rome, Kaitlyn focuses her practice on real estate law, notably representing owners, developers, and borrowers in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of large mixed-use properties, multi-family properties, as well as office and retail facilities. She has experience representing lenders in multifamily financing and affordable housing transactions and has handled a large volume of loan transactions from inception to close, including managing loan documents and ancillary documents, entity organizational documents, and regulatory agreements.
Admitted to practice in New York and Virginia, Kaitlyn received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law, and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University. During law school, she served as an articles editor for the University of Richmond Law Review. Kaitlyn also previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Mary Bennet Malveaux at the Court of Appeals of Virginia.
