Evan J. Zucker Elected as Member of the International Insolvency Institute

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Evan J. Zucker, who serves as of counsel in the firm’s Finance, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy group, has been elected as a member of the International Insolvency Institute ("III"). The III is a global membership consisting of international insolvency law leading professionals, judges, and scholars who “improve law and practice related to domestic and international insolvencies and restructurings in order to promote economic wellbeing, investment, and the efficient administration of justice.”

In 2018, Evan was inducted to Class VII of the International Insolvency Institute NextGen Leadership Program. Evan was nominated by Michael B. Schaedle, a partner at Blank Rome and a current member of the Institute. The III is a nonprofit, limited-membership organization dedicated to advancing and promoting insolvency as a respected discipline in the international field. The NextGen Program is sanctioned under the leadership of the Institute, and is intended to recognize the most prominent “rising stars” in the international insolvency area, while creating a venue for scholarship and networking.

At Blank Rome, Evan concentrates his practice on corporate reorganizations and related complex litigation in national and cross-border matters. He frequently represents foreign representatives in Chapter 15 proceedings, creditors’ committees, secured creditors, indenture trustees, executory contract parties, and other key parties in interest. He routinely publishes and speaks on bankruptcy topics, including the model laws promulgated by UNCITRAL’s Working Group V as well as the causes of retail insolvencies around the world.
