Blank Rome is pleased to share that associate Lamiya Rahman has been appointed to the D.C. Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network’s (“WEN D.C.”) board of directors. She will serve as the Co-DE&I Director.
In this position, Lamiya will develop programs and initiatives to promote WEN D.C.’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. The board works together to carry out WEN’s vision of “being the premier global organization that educates, attracts, retains, and develops professionals working across the energy value chain.”
At Blank Rome, Lamiya focuses her practice on the federal regulation of the natural gas, power, and oil industries, as well as related litigation and transactions. She represents such clients as producers, end users, transmission providers, and gas and power marketers. Lamiya has participated in several of the firm’s DE&I sponsored programs, including the LCLD Pathfinder program and the Chief Legal Executive LLC’s Think Like a GC Academy. She also serves as a member of the firm’s BR United and BR Asian affinity groups.
