Biography
Julia Riskowitz concentrates her practice on representing and advising clients in labor and employment law matters. She has assisted clients in a variety of employment-related disputes in federal and state courts, before administrative and government agencies, at mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings, as well as with internal investigations. She also counsels employers regarding compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as in connection with corporate transactions.
Julia has also litigated unemployment benefits, LGBTQ rights, and voting rights matters on behalf of pro bono clients.
During law school, Julia served as a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. She also previously served as a legal intern in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office (E.D.N.Y.), judicial intern for the Hon. Valerie Caproni, U.S. District Court (S.D.N.Y.), and legal intern at Community Legal Services in Philadelphia, PA.
